May 8th, 2020: I drew this sketch as a gift for my mom on the Mothers Day 🙂

April 30, 2020: Today, I drew a dress sketch on CLIP STUDIO PAINT using Wacom Intuos M. This was my first time using a digital pen-based interface to design fashion sketches. P.S: As a hobby, I occasionally draw dress sketches in my spare time while I am not doing my Ph.D. research ;). Overall, I loved the experience of being able to access a plethora of color platelets and brushes, while being able to draw in a natural way as I would using a pencil and pen. Wacom Pro Pen 2 has 4,096 levels of pressure sensitivity which ameliorates the natural drawing experience. However, as a beginner, it was difficult for me to maintain hand-eye coordination as I was trying to map my actions with the digital pen to my laptop screen. Maybe, in my opinion, adding some kind of visual feedback either on the laptop screen or on the interactive grid of Wacom Intuos may help in decreasing efforts the user has to put while interacting with two devices at the same time.  Also, I sometimes felt I had to leave my pen in between while painting to zoom in or zoom out the canvas as I was trying to paint minute details of my sketch. To help in this case, maybe adding a button or a scrollable wheel on Wacom’s interactive grid might be convenient. That way, users can easily zoom in and zoom out of their canvas, using their non-dominant hand. With that said, I am looking forward to drawing many more sketches using this technology!
